March 10th & 11th - 2012

We have now confirmed that we will have quite a race on our hands with some boats from the mainland and some boats in Tasmania being upgraded.  Have a look through this acticle posted by The Advocate.

Horse Head Creek

We couldn't have asked for better weather to accompany our event at Horse Head Creek, Devonport.  There was action on the water with some of the closet racing this season. There was one race where all the boats finished within 10 seconds of the lead boat.  There was also action off the water with a local fisherman pulling a 7 foot Mako Shark ashore which at one point, seemed better than the racing.  Well done to everyone that helped make the day a success.

Diana's on the Derwent

The sun was out, the spectators were in force and the boats were making some noise to make the day a great event.  There was some great racing with a minimal ammount of trouble on the water.

Another congratulations goes to Nigel Palmer and his team with his boat Shockwave taking out the Cock of the East.  Well done again Nigel.

Horse Head Creek Meeting

The Horse Head Creek meeting which got cancelled due to weather is now going to be re-run on the 28th of January 2012. This event is one of only two events that we run in as triangle course as opposed to the normal two turn course.

Wayne Cross Memorial

The Wayne Cross Memorial race day was held on Sunday the 11th of December 2011 with some great racing from all classes. There were near misses, close encounters and breakdowns with all crews and drivers working hard through out the day to keep their boats competitive.

The main event was held with many different classes represented, but at the end of the day there could only be one winner. Congratulations to Nigel Palmer in Shock Wave and his crew on winning the Wayne Cross Memorial.

Nigel and his crew battled with electrical problems during the day and worked hard to get the boat in the water and running for the big event.
